What Makes NextRoll a “Best Places to Work in NYC”?

With more than 200,000 businesses in New York City, it’s no easy feat to be considered a top place to work. Even more so for tech companies, as NYC ranks #2 in Top Startup Ecosystems by city.

These factors make it even more exciting to announce that NextRoll has been named one of Crain’s 2021 Best Places to Work in NYC! It’s the third time our organization received recognition on the Top 100 list.

The publication called out our expanded mental health initiatives in 2021, which supported Rollers (aka NextRoll employees) during COVID-19 lockdowns and work-from-home mandates.

“NextRoll expanded its benefits to include Calm and ClassPass subscriptions and added ‘recharge days’ as a paid-time-off category,” said Crain’s New York Business. Learn more about how we support our team’s mental health

In addition to these great benefits, our New York-based Rollers – whose survey answers contributed to our ranking – have a few other reasons why they love to work at NextRoll. Here’s what they had to say.

Sophia Chen, NextRoll Chief of Staff

NextRoll provides space for their employees to grow within the company, which is just one of the many things I love about working here. One of NextRoll’s cultural values is “hire great people, and help them grow” and is embodied by the Owl, one of our six culture creatures. In the last five years with the company, NextRoll has provided me with the training, resources, and opportunity to gain new skills and experience to advance my career.

Because cross-functional collaboration is a priority, employees are afforded exposure and visibility into different roles and teams to work towards joining. Additionally, career development takes a front seat at NextRoll and employees are able to work with their managers on development plans to get them to the next level or to their next ideal role.

NextRoll’s commitment to employee growth continued through the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the last year, NextRoll has supported me in transitioning into a brand new role with superior onboarding and training even while we’ve all been working from home. It’s rare to come across a company that walks the talk of its cultural values!

Daniel Greenburg, RollWorks Sales Development Representative

I love working at NexRoll because of the great people and culture. The leadership team is just as invested in my success as I am, and they give me all the necessary tools to help me achieve my goals. Furthermore, everybody is very accessible and there is a true team feels to the organization as a whole. NextRoll supports my success on a daily basis by giving me all of the tools I need to make a positive impact and empowering me with great leadership.

Victoria Amado Kattah, RollWorks Sr. Solutions Consultant

I’m so grateful and happy to work for a company that believes in developing its employees and that believes in advancing its employee’s careers. RollWorks has given me the technical knowledge and skills that it takes to succeed in my role, and I feel I’m constantly learning new things, which excites me very much.

I also love to work for a company that believes so deeply in embracing diversity and that reflects that in everything that they do. As a Latinx and a woman in tech, I feel a deep sense of belonging, and I feel that my ideas are heard and that there is a true commitment to heard everyone’s voice.

Sapan Patel, AdRoll Account Manager

The prospect of starting at a new company remotely was daunting, but everyone at AdRoll has been exceptionally supportive and generous with their time and knowledge. There’s a great culture here that provides ample learning and growth opportunities to everyone.

Eric Lund, RollWorks Sales Development Representative

The biggest thing for me about NextRoll is how obvious it is that NextRoll is a people-first place to work. The last year hasn't been easy for anyone, but the leaders at NextRoll truly gave it their all to make it as easy as it could be. Between time off for COVID testing and vaccination and recovery, to recharge days, to supporting WFH with equipment and stipends and care packages – I had the most welcoming experience I could've had for my first role out of college without going to the office. I haven't been able to meet pretty much anyone, and yet still feel known and cared for by my colleagues and managers. I’m very grateful to be a part of this team and look forward to meeting everyone when I'm able.
