As a Senior Customer Success Manager on the Growth team at RollWorks (a division of NextRoll), Stephanie Franklin found her perfect career, one that utilizes her passion for communicating and getting to know people on different levels. Connecting with customers and helping them achieve their desired goals brings her joy, and it’s one of the main reasons she enjoys her role so much.

What does ambition mean to you?

Ambition means never giving up when you’re faced with adversity. It means living without fear and being willing to get up, even if you fall 1,000 times to achieve the goal you desire. It’s one of the big drivers that’s innate within me. My ambition supersedes my fear.

How do you maintain a balance between work and life?

When the pandemic first began, I found myself working constantly. I realized I had to add breaks, and even lunch, into my schedule to maintain the balance that is pivotal to a healthy mental state for me. I don’t consider this a luxury, but rather, a must for my sanity. And when I’m feeling overwhelmed, I take a second to step away from my laptop or go for a walk. This balance is key to my productivity.

What words do you live by?

Honor your strengths more than you honor your weaknesses. Learn to trust yourself and be optimistic, even when hurdles sit before you. They’re only temporary. You’ll find a way to get past them, if you look for opportunities to overcome them.

Who’s your favorite woman leader or mentor and why?

Oprah Winfrey, as she faced many hurdles from her birth well into her adulthood. But she has learned to grow with every crisis she meets along the way.

What’s your superpower?

My superpower is that I really value people and I’m able to show them the confidence that lies deep within them, so they learn to trust themselves more. I’m really good at communicating with people, but my ambition and visionary ability is what most people comment on the most.

How do you want to leave the working world for women in 20 years?

In a place where women trust their intuition and aren’t afraid to think strategically. I do believe the women coming behind me are embracing their boldness early and are no longer afraid of the superpowers they themselves hold.
